Mitzi

Where is she?
There she is!
A friend of ours got this sweet little Boston Terrier only to find out that their youngest daughter is allergic to dogs... so when she was looking for  new home for her I told her we might be interested.  All I had to do was mention it to Lj and he was ready to go pick her up... he has wanted a dog for so long!  So they dropped her off this morning and Stone is loving her.

Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Since Stone has a summer birthday he gets to celebrate his half birthday at Sonshine School; he was so excited to take cupcakes and get a book!

Singing the birthday song with Ralph and Mrs. Alyssa!
Hugging Ralph... he was not too exited about this.
Ready to eat cupcakes!
I guess the best part of the cupcake to all three year olds is the frosting!

Stone Loves Baby Celeste!

We spent a wonderful weekend weekend in Springfield.  We got to meet baby Celeste, catch up on the Loomis life in Springfield, and eat the famous cinnamon rolls hand rolled by Mom Loomis!  Stone loved Celeste... he could not get enough of her... he was always asking to hold her and making sure she was doing alright.. it was so sweet!   It was such a blessing to spend time with Aaron and Izumi, it was nice to sit around, chat and relax!

The little Stinker would not open his eyes!
Whenever I held Celeste (which was a lot)Stone would always get behind me so he could get a better look at Celeste!
I love her smile!
There always has to be a group photo.

LEAVES

Stone enjoyed crunching in the leaves at the park this afternoon... he kept running and jumping into them... it was so convenient since the leaves were already in a "pile"!  I am loving fall in Oklahoma this year...

Fall Zoo Fun!

We decided to head to the zoo one late Saturday afternoon.  It was a very enjoyable trip and the company was great, too.

The first stop... the playground!
The animals were so close... they thought we had their food since it was feeding time... this sweet and innocent looking Donkey gave Lj a piece of his mind when he called him by his real name!
Love the leaves... it was so beautiful!
Stone was so happy he could show Freedom the ways of the zoo!

Homecoming 2008

2008 was the 10 year reunion of our graduation from college... even though we decided to forgo any of the actually reunion festivities we went to the children's carnival complete with pony rides and moon bounces galore!  Stone loves to ride these ponies... he is quite fond of them!  I am glad he still wants a puppy and not a pony!

Fall Craft Fun

Fall in Oklahoma is so beautiful this year... the foliage is so colorful and just wonderful... much like autumn in New York!  The other day when we were at the park Stone started collecting leaves to make a pie but I thought it would be so fun to press them in wax paper and have some fun placements for Thanksgiving.  We got busy making them on this storm- threatening afternoon.

I did the crayon shavings with scissors since I could not find sharpener anywhere in the house!
Stone carefully chose the leaves for each one.
Sometimes a bit too many but he still loved putting them on the paper!
We had an injury in the middle when Stone touched the iron but all is well and he was sucking on the ice pretty quickly... hence the puckered lips in this picture!
We even made a little one just for Stone.
We made 7 total and are looking forward to a full table of family, friends and fun at Thanksgiving!

AND THE WINNER IS...

There were 6 correct guesses as to who the pumpkin was carved in the likeness of... it was Lj!
Stone chose the winner out of a bucket and the winner is... Laura H!  Laura- send me your address and we will send a fun little package from America!

FUN DIP

Thanks to all the Halloween candy, Stone got to experience FUN DIP for the first time!

Step 1: Lick the stick.
Step 2: Dip the stick in the powder.
Step 3: Smile for Mommy... (it was bribe)
Step 4: Lick the sugary powder off the stick.
Step 5: Try to see your tongue while you lick it off...
Step 6: Look at your green tongue!
Step 7 & 8: Eat the stick then dump the powder in your mouth... it takes too long to use the stick!

Step 9: Enjoy the sugar high!
