Snow Day

Stone has been dying for it to snow... he must know he has northern blood in him!   Yesterday, it started snowing (really icing) and most every school was cancelled for today by 2 pm yesterday! The special treat was OC also closed so daddy was home to enjoy the day off! Stone and daddy headed out earlier to run to the store and as they were getting the car ready Stone seized the moment to play...

Making a Snow Angel!
His effort pays off in less than and 1/8 inch of snow!
Just enjoying the icy ground... the white stuff was sleet!

**I also get to enjoy some time off... my Starbucks closed early yesterday and today so i get to be off work as well... YAY for snow!

Diggin' Up Bones

We took a little trip to Norman to see the Sam Noble Museum yesterday.  Stone had so much fun digging up the dinosaurs and seeing all the exhibits.

Stone and Joe doing a little excavating.
Freedom, Stone and Joe gearing up for a big dig!
We were surrounded by dinosaurs... Stone wants to get this to play with at home.
We are so fashionable in pink!
Stone just hanging out in the canoe.
The elephant stomp... watch out little ones.

Our Little Barista

Stone decided to put on my (RED) apron and be the barista for our tea making this morning.

S:"What kind of tea would you like , Mom?
M: "What do you like, Stone?"
M: "Ok, I will have black tea with cream and sugar."
S: "It will be hot so be careful, OK?!"
S: "Here you go!  But wait... let me try it first"
S: "MMM... it is so tasty.  Here you go MOM!"
Nothing like a morning tea with my son.  I love him and these moments so much!

Express Clydesdale Ranch

As I was searching for free stuff to do in Oklahoma City, I came across this Clydesdale Ranch not too far away.  Wednesday was a beautiful day so I thought it would be fun to check out the horse ranch. When I told Stone where we were going he asked if Freedom could come with us... so we invited them to come along because as we all know everything is more fun with friends!

The barn... it was so beautiful and housed the horsed in style.
Waiting on Mom to go into the barn.  It was so nice we were the only ones in the parking lot.
Enjoying the one horse he could ride!
The horses were huge but so friendly!
The Miracle Network horses; a doc and his patient.
An old carriage... it was so much taller than I realized.
An old territorial carriage.
A city boy and a country boy enjoying the cows...
and the horses.
A life sized horse made out of horseshoes... very cool!
Stone riding with his buddy, Freedom.
The scenery was just gorgeous and so relaxing to enjoy!
The strangest sight was this lone zebra among the horses.

A Trip to the Dentist

Yesterday morning before SONshine School, Stone headed to the dentist for a cleaning and to check a stained tooth.  The stained tooth is fine for now but there is another "pit" that he will need to get filled in a few weeks.  I have tons of pits in my teeth as well so I am just hoping he gets Lj's permanent teeth.  The hygienists are always impressed with how cooperative Stone is for them.  He loves having his teeth cleaned and no threat of a shot is an added bonus for him!

He was still a little sleepy since it was a good hour before his usual wake up time!
Getting a good cleaning... he laid there so patiently.
Counting his pearly whites and checking the stained spots!

Enjoying the Unseasonal Weather

Stone and I took advantage of the beautiful January weather and headed to the zoo for a picnic and fun before the cold front moved in last Friday!

Stone and Freedom taking a free ride on the elephant statue... the real elephants are in Tulsa while they build a new area for them here.
Hanging with the bears!
As we were leaving the cat forest we saw these leopards come to the watering hole... they were so close.
Stone and Freedom watching the leopard!
No trip to the zoo is complete without a trip to the park.
The boys walking hand in hand... so precious! They had so much fun!
Jake, Stone, Freedom, Joe
We had so much fun and look forward to another nice day to head over there again!
