Snow Day #2

We are in the midst of the Winter Storm of 2010! It all began yesterday with rain followed by sleet, some freezing rain, then finally snow! Since the roads were predicted to be so bad this morning OC and all the Starbucks in the area closed for the day so that meant even Lj and I got a true snow day! It has snowed pretty much all day today! It is beautiful and being a Northern girl... I love the snow!
Stone enjoys playing in the snow and has learned how to adapt to life with no snow pants... jammy pants under your jeans work well!
This Boy.. loves being outside!
Lj being the one who got his driver license in a blizzard always gets the itch to go out and drive on the treacherous snow covered roads! Today we all headed out to find a sled... we hit three stores then ended up at Home Depot where we found a mixing tray. Stones little body fits perfectly in the tray and it was pretty cheap as well!

Stone really enjoyed sledding down the ice covered sidewalk at OC!

After a few times down the sidewalk we decided to hit the snow covered hill... he loved it forwards, backwards and even tripping over!
Stone and his new sled! Ready to go agian!
After a few times down the hill; everyone was turning into a popsicle so we decided to head home and enjoy some coca in our warm house! All in all this is what I call a great snow day!

Stone's First Surgery!

On January 22nd, Stone had to have oral restoration surgery; a fancy name for 7 caps and one extraction... the poor boy had some bad molars! He was a trooper through it all! When we arrived in his room the nurse told us to try to get him into the hospital gown... the boy was stripped and naked before the nurse finished her sentence; the nurses were shocked at how compliant he was about the whole thing! The surgery went well and Stone was in the good hands of Dr. Steele. Stone seems to be eating better now that his teeth are not hurting him as much!

Stone with his Edmond Regional Hospital monkey- it was "free" at check-in!
Pre-op time! Stone was very curious about it all and thankfully he was not nervous at all!
Hanging out in the "holding" room. They had given him some liquid meds to make him sleepy- it worked!
Edmond the monkey performing oral surgery on Rock the bear!
Ready to go back! The hospital was so sweet with Stone and really had great experiance with the little ones!
When Stone came out of surgery he was pretty groggy but was thirsty and he decided to have a popsicle!
Resting in Daddy's arms! He would sleep a bit and then get irritated and antsy!
A little more popsicle... almost done! He did great keeping things down! At this point he started asking for the Wii... a sure sign he is ready to get home!
The nurse came to take out the IV and give us the all clear to go home. Stone says this wrap was the only thing that hurt... I think having his arm restricted bothered him.
When we got home Stone had a mailbox of cards and well wishes from friends from all over the USA! He loved opening all the cards! We are surely bless with great friends and family!

Western Day

Last week, Stone's school had Western Day! All the kids dressed the part and had a fun day of all things cowboy related! One benefit of working at Stone's school is I can get some fun pictures of him with his class!

Here is Stone's class... He has lots of good friends!

Stone and his buddy Aedan! Stone tried to cut Aedan in line hence the reason Aedan is not smiling!
Stone and his buddy, Mac. Mac's daddy and Stone's daddy were roomates in college for a while! (It is neat the see that friendship come full circle!)

Most Recent Family Photo

Stone drew this picture of our family the other night. I just love his drawings. The baby is at the top and as Stone showed me the picture he said me in his cute little high pitched voice; "isn't the baby is as cute as a bug's ear?". Stone, Mommy and Daddy are in the middle... he drew me some crazy hair... then 5- legged Mitzi is at the bottom!
