Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse

On Wednesday, my friend Jenni and I loaded up our 4 kids and headed north to Enid, Oklahoma. Our destination was Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse & Adventure Quest . When we finally arrived in Enid, we had some GPS issues and tantrums, we headed to McDonalds for lunch and with our full tummies we headed to the museum. The weather though hot was not too unbearable so we decided to start the day off playing outside. Stone enjoyed playing on the wooden structure and so unfortunately I got no good pictures of him playing outside... he was moving too fast!

Here is Stone in the giant sandbox!
After playing outside for a while we decided to head inside... they had quite a few fun exhibits set up. I am not sue what Stone enjoyed more- seeing all the fun hands-on stuff or getting a drink?!
Stone and Mommy AKA the Alien and Astronaut
Stone really enjoys planes everywhere we go- here he enjoyed hanging out in the real cockpit of a donated plnae! Everything still moved... So Fun!

Stone and Aedan decided they wanted to hit the carpenter shop... they allowed the kids to use real tooys and the "supervisor" was more inviolved in texting- thankfully the boys had pretty good control of the tools on their own.

Stone is working diligently on his plane!

Cutting one final peice!

Concentrating!

Eli, Aedan and Stone ready for firefighter training!

The kids all trying to catch a butterfly... it was a really neat activity that kept all the kids entertained for a good 15 minutes!

All in all it was great trip and the company was wonderful. Maybe we will head there next summer... my traveling days are getting limited and I would love to hit one more museum for kids!

Water Fun!

At the beginning of June we hit the sprayground with the Herndons, Gists and Chans! Ten years ago, we all were in Japan together and now we have 9 soon to be 10 kids between us! Unfortunately the kids were on the move so I was not able to get all the kids in a picture!

Ezra, Stone and Freedom were not scared of the water! Though Stone looks a bit miserable since I got sunscreen in his eye!
Stone and Freedom together man the sprayer while Courage looks on apprehensively!
What happen to the water?
Woo Hoo! Have no fear the water is back!
Fun times!
Baby Wes is definitely a fan of playing in the water! He is such a sweet baby!
All the kids had a great time but next time I will have to make it a priority to get a picture of all the kids together!

Unearthed Fun

We headed to the zoo the other day with Isaiah and Shannon.  We went to go see the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit.  Stone had so much fun playing with Isaiah, seeing the dinosaur exhibit and just plain hanging out at the zoo.

Both boys wanted to have the dinosaur eating their head!
First Isaiah then Stone.

The dinosaurs were huge and moved very  life-like.
But, I think the boys favorite part was looking for the dinosaur tracks in the sandbox.

The sandbox was also a great way to slow down and cool down in the 90 degree weather! Welcome summer!

A Steeler Fan in Oklahoma!

Ever since the Superbowl game Stone has been interested in football and Friday was quite a special day; he got a fun package from Grandpa and Jill. The package came all the way from Pittsburgh, home of the Steelers!

I think we just might have a football player on our hands... look at the way he cradles the ball!
Running for a punt?
Time for a pass off!
Holding it tight and ready for a touchdown!
Stone had so much fun trying out the new football!
Thanks Dad and Jill, We love you!

Friend Day at Gymnastics

Stone's best buddy Mac invited him to bring a friend day at Metro Gymnastics.  Stone got to see Mac and Clara, another friend from Sonshine School.  Stone was so excited to go and he had a blast.

Listening to Miss Sara give directions.
Time to begin... pat to the beat!
On the move... following the leader.
Tumbling and climbing... so much fun!
Time for a drink break!
After drinks it was time for the bars, Stone doing a splitso with Miss Sara's help!
Touch your toes to the bar!
I have to say this was a great way to spend a Friday morning!
Thanks Mac for the invite!

After School Fun

Today after Sonshine School, Stone and I along with half of the school headed to the park... the weather was just too beautiful to not play outside!

Stone loves to climb to the top of this spiderweb and drop down.
At the top...
Ready to drop... GO!  He had a little fall one time dropping and unfortunately, that pretty much ended his park fun.
Enjoying the Merry Go Round with all of his school friends!
The Busy Bees getting dizzy!
There is nothing better than enjoying the park with your school friends!

Day 96- Pumpkins, Animals and Corn

Last Saturday, we headed to the Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch.   We met up with the Chans there and it was so much fun for Stone and Freedom to run around together!

Enjoying a little swing ride before the madness of all the other fun stuff began!
Stone the Kickin' Cowboy...I love these funny cut-outs!
The hay bale maze... They enjoyed running on top of it more than through it which is a good things since most of it was crushed so it would have been hard to run through it...

Stone helping Freedom get out of the middle of one... next was looking for the lost shoe!
Life is better when you have a friend to share a hammock with!
The corn maze... the boys just took off running on the straight path...
until they met a fork in the road and  which way now?

While Charity and I waited in the hayride line the boys went to the petting zoo... and this was the only picture Lj got!
Waiting on Mommy's back for the hayride to arrive!  This has become his favorite way to travel lately!
Family photo on the hayride!
Stone and Freedom watching for all the pumpkins that lined the path!
Time to go home... but first Stone got to chose one pumpkin to take home!
Which one? Which one?
This one feels good... maybe this is it...
YUP!  This is it...
We had a great day of fun at the pumpkin patch and the fun ended with a nice cold beverage at Pops Cafe.
