2nd Annual Valentine Party

Stone and I went to his friend, Joe's house for a Valentine party today! Tyna provided a great lunch complete with heart sandwiches and yummy fruit! Then for dessert the kiddos got to frost their own cupcakes! Stone had such a great time eating and playing with his friends; old and new!

The cupcakes waiting for the kiddos to spread frosting all over them.
Such a happy smiley boy!
Concentrating hard on frosting his cupcake!
Stone decided to cut out all the work and just go for the part he likes best... the frosting!

Christmas 2009

Santa arrived safe after his sleigh got stuck in the snow! A little push and after parking it in the nearest spot Santa was on his way carrying the gifts! The gifts looked great under the tree... I love the fact that he wrote in his letter to Santa on Christmas Eve to please bring him a Superman Costume!
(Santa got the costume 90% off after Halloween!)
Rubbing his eyes while checking out the gifts from the Jolly man in the Red Suit!
He was quite excited that Santa remembered to bring him just what he wanted!
A little Sushi set from Mom and Dad- definitely could not compete with Santa's gift!
Stone lost under the tree looking for more presents!
All his loot! We did not go too crazy this year! Stone was quite spoiled when we were in Boston and Pittsburg!
He really enjoyed his marble run he got from Auntie Carla- it just about killed him to not be able to open it until Christmas day- it was under the tree since the tree went up at the beginning of December!
Daddy and Stone carrying out all the trash! They are bundled up since we got 14 inches of snow on Christmas Eve!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

One beautiful saturday in October we headed to the pumpkin patch with the Chan family!
The boys had a blast running, climbing and jumping! Little Courage loved seeing everything from her Daddy's shoulders!

Here is Stone with his pumpkin he choose soon after we arrived... we had to "hide" in under a wheel to insure it would it would still be there at the end of the day!

Stone got to drive a huge tractor... watch out FFA!
Stone tried his arm at some rings to hook a horn...
Ready
Set
GO!
Hooked it!
Lazing around on the hammock! A perfect way to enjoy the view!
Stone and Freedom loved climbing in the trees and on all the old tree trunks... these kids are 100% boy!
Happy Fall from the Lj's!

Happy Fathers Day!

Dad's are such a wonderful blessing to our lives and Lj is no exception. I am so thankful that Lj is the dad of my son, he takes the job of Daddy to Stone with all seriousness. He is a great example and always mindful of how he is teaching Stone through the example of how he lives his life. When it comes to teaching Stone how to love others, treat others with kindness and respect and to open his heart to the many people that will cross his path, Lj is a great example. I love that he takes a first hand role in Stones upbringing and he supports me and we are always a united front on decisions! There is nothing more special and heart warming than watching my husband be the dad of our son! I love you, Lj!

Daddy and Stone just a few hours into the father and Son relationship!
Fathers Day 2009... Reading books a favorite for Stone and Lj!
I am so thankful that Lj and I both still have our dads on this special day! Watching Lj sacrifice so much to be a great dad for Stone I am more aware now how much my dad (and I am sure Lj's dad) sacrificed for us!

Egg Hunts Galore

Stone has been Egg Hunting since Thursday.  It all started with the hunt at Sonshine School before the snacks and party.  He said he had fun hunting with his friends fortunately, I could watch from afar while my students were at recess.

Then on Friday, Charity and Freedom invited us over for another one.  After a little bag decorating the kids headed to the garage to find eggs!  Stone had so much fun with his friends; Freedom, Heath, Briar and Jasmine.

Hunting the eggs!
Checking out all his loot... Lots of candy and stickers!
Then this morning we headed over to OC to find yet even more eggs!  They were all just in the field right there in the Lawson Commons.
Stone showing off his new Mickey Mouse basket we picked up at a garage sale yesterday!
Look at that full basket!
Of course, we got to see a lot of friends from church and Sonshine School... and like all events at OC, there were some moon bounces! Stone loved playing on the inflatables with Mac.

Look at the air Stone caught jumping!
After OC we headed home and ran into the Easter Bunny himself.  The bunny told us they hid lots of eggs around the lake so we decided to partake in yet another Egg Hunt!
Here is the candy from all of Stone's Egg Hunting.
I think this year more than made up for missing last year... we missed the Easter holiday festivities since we were enjoying Japan!

Valentine Cupcakes

Stone got invited to a sweet Valentine Cupcake party last week.  Tyna and Joe invited 4 litttle boys over to decorate cupcakes and to play!   Stone had so much fun putting the frosting on followed by all the sprinkles and then licking off the frosting.  I was impressed that he actually ate the cake part as well!

Intently focusing on the sprinkles!
The first bite while saying, "cheese".
A mouth full of cupcake... YUMMO!
Me and my Little Valentine, love this boy so much!

Deck the Halls!

The day after Thanksgiving we broke out the Christmas decorations and decorated.  Stone had so much fun putting all the ornaments in the tree.  He was very inquisitive about some of them asking where they came from and what they were.  It is so fun to watch the magic of the holidays through  his eyes!
